The Drawing Center Window, March 24 - May 2018

I was asked to create a piece in the window for a comic fair called Funhouse, it was a two day event over a weekend, but The Drawing Center let it stay up for months afterwards. The original idea was based on one of those carnival paintings, the kind with holes where the faces should be. The black line drawing was cut out of vinyl and adhered to the glass, the window frame and wall. I painted a simple color graphic on cardboard that was placed behind the window, with a face hole cut-out.
